Abstract

Based on the results of observations in the City of Banjar, it was found that there were several problems in the realization of Banjar as an agropolitan city, which means that the condition of Banjar City, which economic activities are based on agrobusiness, agroindustry, agrotourism, distribution centers of agricultural products or services. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of one of the vision of the Mayor of Banjar in 2018-2023, which is towards agropolitan city. The research approach used in this study is a qualitative approach with the type of descriptive method. Sampling technique with snowball sampling. Data collection was carried out using participatory observation techniques, in-depth interviews, and documentation, which were conducted on 9 people, namely the BAPPEDA, DISTAN and the people of Banjar City. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of one of the vision of the Mayor of Banjar in 2018-2023 that is towards the Agropolitan City in general has not been fully realized. The government tends not to be serious in realizing Banjar towards an agropolitan city, inadequate infrastructure facilities, lack of community participation in one of the vision of the Banjar Mayor in 2018-2023, and the conversion of agricultural land. This can be seen from the implementation of the decision, problem identification, and goals / objectives to be achieved. In order to achieve this vision, it is necessary to socialize to the public about understandings relating to the vision, besides supporting infrastructure is also needed to support agrobusiness activities.
