Abstract

ABSTRACT

 

This research aims to investigate the impact of community empowerment programs through plant-based food security on increasing food crop production in Mekarharja Village. With a deeper understanding of the impact of this program, this research is expected to provide guidance and recommendations that can help improve food security and community welfare in the village.

In addition to the above objectives, this study also aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the plant-based food security program in empowering the community and increasing food crop production in Mekarharja Village, Purwaharja District, Banjar City.

The research method used is a qualitative approach with a a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The research participants consisted of community members, farmer groups, and village officials involved in the food security program.

The results of the study show that the plant-based food security program has succeeded in improving people's knowledge and skills in farming, which in turn increases the production of food crops. This program also strengthens cooperation and mutual cooperation among community members, and can increase food security.

The conclusion of this study is that the plant-based food security program is effective in empowering the community and increasing the production of food crops in Mekarharja Village. Recommendations are given to the local government to continue and expand this program to other villages in Purwaharja District to achieve wider food security.
