Abstract

This study aims to provide an overview of the public services provided by the Ciamis Regency Population and Civil Registration Service, there have been cases that were considered bad in public services, even though the case still needs to be explained about the problem. The people (who are served) who always think that public servants will always be easily resolved with material in completing population administration, become a challenge to solve, not all public servants behave like that. This research is located at the Department of Population and Civil Registration of Ciamis Regency. The type used is descriptive. As with the procedure for acquiring qualitative research data, data were obtained from interviews, observations, and archives. Research results that are considered relevant to the problem under study are analyzed qualitatively. The results showed that there were cases of 2 (two) contract workers at the Ciamis Regency Population and Civil Registration Service (Disdukcapil) who were caught in a hand-catching operation (OTT) by the West Java Province Saber Extortion Task Force and the Ciamis Police Satreskrim, Wednesday (15/5/2019) . The person was caught allegedly carrying out illegal fees (pungli) to residents in the amount of IDR 100,000 for the processing of making e-KTPs as a condition for making Hajj passports. (detiknews, 13 May 2019), has tarnished the face of public services in Ciamis Regency.
